Aurania Resources is committed to maintaining the highest standards of environmental responsibility at every stage of exploration. Environmental stewardship is a core value of the company and is integrated alongside strong social and governance practices.
Aurania was the first junior exploration company in Latin America to achieve ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, which we maintained over multiple years. This achievement reflects our long‑standing commitment to structured environmental management, continuous improvement, and alignment with international best practices.
Our environmental approach focuses on minimizing disturbance, protecting ecosystems, managing waste responsibly, and restoring areas affected by exploration activities wherever feasible. From early‑stage reconnaissance to advanced exploration, we apply precautionary principles and low‑impact practices tailored to local environmental conditions.
Environmental performance is managed through internal controls, monitoring programs, and compliance with applicable regulations in each jurisdiction where we operate. We believe responsible environmental management is essential not only for regulatory compliance, but also for building stakeholder trust and protecting the long‑term value of the regions in which we work.
Water Stewardship
Water stewardship is a critical component of Aurania Resources’ environmental responsibility. We are committed to protecting water quality and ensuring that our exploration activities do not adversely affect local water resources.
Aurania applies rigorous water management practices designed to minimize consumption, prevent contamination, and safeguard surrounding ecosystems. Water use is carefully planned, monitored, and controlled throughout all stages of exploration, with a strong emphasis on recycling, reuse, and responsible discharge methods that reflect local environmental conditions.
Across all jurisdictions where Aurania has operated, we have never recorded a case of water contamination, nor have we incurred fines, remediation costs, or legal actions related to water impacts. This record reflects our disciplined approach to precautionary management and environmental accountability.
Monitoring and preventive measures are implemented to ensure that water quality both upstream and downstream of exploration activities remains unaffected. These practices demonstrate our commitment to transparency, responsible stewardship, and continuous improvement.
